Ok, so I've been on a stat optimization kick lately. I've been trying to figure out the balance between Spell Damage, Spell crit and spell haste. Since obviously spell hit will trump them all for a raid boss, I've pretty much just discounted that.
This website helps you see which of the stats will increase your overall dps per stat as well as showing the trinkets that will best optimize dps and dps:
